On July 4th, 1938, Gunnar Andreasen signed the deed on an industrial site in Gladsaxe west of Copenhagen, and this was the beginning of Cheminova. Here in 2013 this is 75 years ago and the company has moved the headquarters to Western Jutland and has estblished itself with 23 subsidiaries around the world.

New banana project in Brazil

A new CSR-project as been initiated in Brazil. The project aims to provide banana growers with a tool to reduce environmental contamination and exposure to chemicals when protecting banana plants against fungal diseases. Cheminova’s low cost and simple precission technology plus a few drops of IMPACT® fungicide with flutriafol can do the trick.

Cheminova has decided to divest the Swiss Stähler company to the local management. The agreement is favourable for both parties. For Cheminova it means strengthening of earnings and value creation, as the divestment has a positive effect on both the operating profit and the debt situation in 2013. Topguard® is the only fungicide that growers have to utilize for control of cotton root rot. The emergency extension has been renewed for 2013. Growers can shorten the rotation cycle between cotton crops and they can grow cotton in fields that have been avoided in years due to cotton root rot.
