The most destructive disease in coffee is coffee rust (Hemileia vasatrix) which damages trees and reduces yield by causing the premature drop of infested leaves.
Since 1970, when coffee rust was discovered in the western hemisphere, coffee rust has been a key disease in all major coffee-producing countries.

Coffee rust can either be controlled by several foliar-applied fungicides or by applying granulated fungicide to the soil. Impact® is the triazole fungicide most readily taken up by coffee roots, making Impact® one of the most efficient fungicides in the control of coffee rust.
