Cheminova has developed the triazole fungicide, flutriafol, to be a major fungicide used in many world crops. It is the major active ingredient in the Vincit® range of global seed treatments.

Vincit® is the well-known global trademark used for flutriafol seed treatment products. Flutriafol is one of very few compounds to reach and disinfect the embryo of the seed. The products give excellenct control of embryo-borne diseases, in particular bunt (Tilletia caries) and smuts (Ustilago spp.). In addition, some control of Microdochium nivale seedling blight and barley leaf stripe (Pyrenophora graminea) is also achieved. The systemicity of flutriafol ensures that it is distributed throughout emerging seedlings.
