Glyfos Aquatic® is a broad spectrum, non-selective, post-emergent herbicide containing glyphosate for use in aquatic sites such as irrigation canals. Applied to actively growing, partially or fully emerged plants prior to seed head formation, Glyfos Aquatic® provides effective control of a broad spectrum of herbaceous and woody plants.
Glyfos Aquatic is one of the few herbicides available for use in highly sensitive, protected areas such as habitat restoration sites and protected wetlands. It can also be used in non-crop aquatic situations such as golf courses, parks, retention ponds, and wastewater treatment facilities.
Glyphosate itself is generally gentle to aquatic organisms. Unfortunately, surfactants can make the traditional formulations harmful to aquatic organisms. Glyfos Aquatic® does not contain any surfactants and is therefore not harmful to aquatic life. Surfactants may not be added to Glyfos Aquatic®.
