Chlorpyrifos is an organophosphorous insecticide developed and introduced by Dow in 1965. Cheminova started production of chlorpyrifos in 1996 and has subsequently introduced chlorpyrifos products in more than 50 countries, mainly under the brands Cyren® and Nufos®.
