Gamma-cyhalothrin is the latest generation pyrethroid insecticide, containing only the active stereoisomer of the two isomers in lambda-cyhalothrin. The unique activity of the single isomer product renders it very effective at low use rates. Results from global field studies confirm that gamma-cyhalothrin demonstrates equivalent activity at half the label rate of lambda-cyhalothrin. Low use rates translate into less active ingredient in the environment.
The product will provide efficacy and crop safety equal to or better than the leading pyrethroid products at a lower use rate. The product offers broad-spectrum control of insect pests including aphids, beetles, thrips and worms in row crops, pastures, vegetables, and orchards where other highly resolved pyrethroids are used.
