World-wide acrinathrin is available from Cheminova under the trade names Rufast®, Rufast® E-Flo, Rufast® Avance, Orytis®, Ardent® and Jokari® for use in foliar applications. Three formulations are available: As an oil in water emulsion (EW), a suspension concentrate (SC) and a wettable powder (WP).
Globally, the patented EW formulation is the most widely used and in many countries the EW formulation has replaced an EC formulation. The EW formulation reduces operator hazards by minimizing irritation effects and in addition the water based formulation has an improved toxicological profile.
