Cheminova is a member of national and international organisations dealing with crop protection products.

In Europe, Cheminova is a member of the industrial association European Crop Protection Association (ECPA) (www.ecpa.be) and globally of CropLife International (www.croplife.org).

ECPA is the pan-European voice of the crop protection industry. ECPA’s membership consists of 16 market-leading companies, as well as national associations in 24 countries.

CropLife International is a global network that represents the crop science industry. Through balancing environmental, economic, and societal concerns the crop science industry contributes significantly to promoting sustainable agriculture which is fundamental to food production and poverty alleviation.

As organisations with great interest in the global food situation and public health, FAO and WHO under the United Nations (www.un.dk) exerts great influence.

FAO is the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (www.fao.org) The organisation was founded in 1945 and has 183 member countries plus one member organisation, the European Community. FAO works to alleviate poverty and hunger by promoting agricultural development, improved nutrition, and the pursuit of food security. A specific priority of the organisation is encouraging sustainable agriculture and rural development, a long-term strategy for increasing food production and food security while conserving and managing natural resources.

The objective of WHO, the World Health Organisation (www.who.int), is the attainment by all peoples of the highest possible level of health. The organisation was established in 1948 and has 192 member countries.
