Product stewardship
In sales, marketing and handling of plant protection products we strive for the greatest possible benefit from our products with the least possible risk for people and environment.
Our plant protection products play a positive part in the world's food supply by protecting crops against insects, diseases and weeds. Product stewardship in the form of risk reduction is an essential part of our activities.
Stewardship and approvals
As a global provider of plant protection products, the principles in FAO's Code of Conduct is part of our business principles and sales conditions.
We only market products which we have registrered - i.e. permission to market - in accordance with the rules under the legislation of the individual countries. This means that we have submitted the necessary documentation to the authorities, and that we have carried out the required trials and tests for the risk assessment.

Locally or regionally we participate in industry activities with the purpose of reducing risk.
Increased focus on developing countries
In countries which are weak in economic and development terms, the level of education can vary considerably. Here the industry and authorities have a joint responsibilty that the products do not pose an unacceptable risk for people and the environment.
In developing countries information about safe and correct use of the products is an integrated part of the marketing activities.
We do not sell the most toxic so-called WHO class I plant protection products in developing countries.
