Environment, working environment and safety in chemical production

Chemical production cannot take place without a certain impact on the surrounding environment. That is why environmental matters such as energy, water and raw material consumption, wastewater and air as well as waste management are crucial to the operation and maintenance of our production facilities. Even when the chemical processes are developed in the laboratory and when production facilities are designed, we focus on these matters.

In Denmark and in India Cheminova has production facilities where we manufacture active ingredients by chemical synthesis as well as ready-to-use products. Furthermore, we operate production companies where we manufacture and fill ready-to-use products in Germany, United Kingdom, Italy and Australia.

At all production sites we make a point of having a good and safe working environment. That is why management and employees continuously focus on carrying through improvements and preventing accidents.

The production of chemicals is subject to control by the authorities at all our production sites.

We adhere to the objectives in the Danish version of the European Chemical Industry Council’s (CEFIC) Responsible Care^® programme of continuous improvements within the areas of environment, safety and health.
